Mars Venus Coaching Presents Impactful Stress Seminar at 2009 Colorado Women’s Expo

Jun 16, 2009 – Pam Lippitt (of Mars Venus Coaching of Colorado) and Rich Bernstein (of Mars Venus Coaching North America) presented an entertaining and informative seminar entitled “How Men and Women Cope with Stress Differently” to over 200 attendees at the 2009 Colorado Women’s Expo on April 25th and 26th. The seminar was developed by Scott Lippitt in partnership with Dr. John Gray.
“In the past 8 months we’ve been bombarded with stories of doom and gloom relating to the economy. One of the effects of this is the increasing amount of stress these financial worries are placing on our relationships. In fact, financial stress is currently recognized as being one of the biggest problems in modern-day relationships; in part, because we don’t understand how men and women cope with stress differently”, noted Scott Lippitt. And because men and women don’t understand the differences, they tend to misinterpret them. And this often leads to misunderstandings and not-so-pleasant arguments.
So how do men and women cope with stress differently?
To sum it up very simply: Men’s and women’s bodies literally reduce stress differently. Specifically, the genders create very different hormones that reduce stress. Men create testosterone, while women create oxytocin. This seminar informed the audience how men can purposefully create testosterone and how women can purposefully create oxytocin. ”We teach men and women, how they can help their partners or the opposite sex reduce stress. And as importantly, we’ll help them understand what NOT to do,” noted Pam Lippitt
