Advisor Products’ Client Portal Extends Redtail CRM For Financial Advisors

Jun 09, 2009 – WESTBURY, New York–Advisor Products Inc, a leading financial advisor technology and marketing company, and Redtail Technology Inc, developer of a widely-used customer relationship management (CRM) system for financial advisors, today announced integration between Redtail’s flagship web-based CRM system and Advisor Products’ Personal Client Portals.
Personal Client Portals, which utilizes web 2.0 technology, provides each client of a financial advisor with a secure financial web page complete with live feeds from portfolio management, financial planning, and CRM systems, as well as market data, an advisor blog, and personalized financial content.
“This synergy of Redtail and Advisor Products leverages one of the advisory profession’s most powerful CRM systems with the industry’s most client-centric communication tool,” said Advisor Products CEO Andrew Gluck.
Utilizing eXtensible Markup Language (XML) feeds, client activity information can be pushed from Redtail CRM to the client-facing product in a single click. Advisors can make notes of work that is done for clients and subtly display these “achieved” tasks in each client portal’s To-Do Manager.
“This feature is especially valuable to fee-based advisors for validating their fees, since most of the work advisors do is often unseen by clients,” said Gluck.
In addition, advisors can assign tasks to clients directly through their CRM system. “If an advisor notices that it’s time for an annual meeting with a client, he can assign a reminder to the client directly via Redtail CRM,” said Redtail Technology CEO Brian McLaughlin.
Redtail and Advisor Products also announced other synergies, including the ability of Redtail users to utilize Advisor Products customized content in email newsletters or other client correspondence, and the planned integration of Redtail’s Document Management system with AdvisorVault, the Advisor Products client document vault.
